Hello!

I am Naomi the Founder of GO Get Organised. I wanted to share our story so far.. we have been on quite the journey, so I thought I would tell you a little more..

How it all began

Back in 2012, my maternity leave with the BBC was coming to an end, I had worked in television for 15 years. Leaving and starting something new after a year off filled me with dread. My husband and I knew that one of us needed more flexibility within our career to fit with our new family and I very much wanted that someone to be me.

I had worked as a Production Co-ordinator on shows such as Bargain Hunt, Flog It, DIY SOS etc. I had so many transferable skills and I wanted to keep building knowledge, whilst not allowing myself to lose confidence.

One evening after putting the kids to bed, I sank into the sofa with a glass of wine (I am sure many of us have been there, don’t judge me!) and had a real lightbulb moment. There must be many like me who wanted to work flexibly with great careers and experience.

The next day, knee deep in washing and toys, I said “hang on guys, mummy’s got to GO Get Organised.” Wham… there it was. I had a name!

I soon got to work bringing together a great network of mums with amazing skills and experience different to my own. We began to offer flexible support to SME’s allowing them to scale up without the overheads of employment.

A pandemic added to the mix

We were very fortunate during this time.

Covid became a real pivotal point for us as others began to understand the advantages of virtual working. Plus, many people wanted to work flexibly for a variety of reasons. We were able to add lots more talent to our team at this point.

Some businesses had been forced to put their staff on furlough and we were able to offer the flexibility to help some of those businesses to keep trading during this challenging time.

So where are we now

Trading for just under 12 years, I am proud to say we have helped over 350 businesses so far.

Having a single point of access to a wide range of services not only saves a business time but offers them complete flexibility.

Although we have moved forward with technology whilst working virtually, we still wish to keep our good old-fashioned values of being real people, with real personalities who are here to help you claw some of those hours back in your day.

As for me ..

Always wanting to improve, I am lucky to have been accepted onto the Natwest Accelerator Program recently, so I am working my way through a journey to our future alongside other fellow business owners. I am building lots of new connections and certainly arming myself with new tools and knowledge to move forward.
